1^st Semester Workshop Sessions

This weekly 2-hour session in the university interdepartmental computer lab is intended to familiarize students with basic skills and particular conventions of academic and professional life such as emailing, business letters, summarizing a long text, drawing an outline before beginning to write a project, using cohesive devices and punctuation to produce academic level discourse. Practice to develop these skills is performed through blended learning which means that instructor’s guidance is reinforced and exemplified through selected online resources. Team work and collaboration are encouraged.
