Objectives 

 

Through this course, students will acquire knowledge which refers to the relationship of technology and efficiency of ships, as the means of transport. Particular emphasis is given to ship energy efficiency and ship environmental performance. Factors affecting the performance of ships are presented along with technical and operational solutions to optimise the efficiency of ships as well as to meet the new regulatory framework of IMO and EU.
