Module Content:
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING develops on modern theoretical and empirical topics in financial accounting from a financial manager’s viewpoint. Fin Acc explains alternative investment appraisal methods to select attractive investment projects and fund-raising approaches to corporate financing. Critical accounting principles, financial statement analysis, auditing, and compliance are an important component of this module.
Module Aims:
- To explain fundamental theoretical and empirical topics for efficient financial management and accounting
- To critically evaluate corporate investment, financing, accounting, and auditing decisions
- To equip students with skills and tools and help them develop critical judgment in Financial Accounting
for rational financial management decisions and corporate value enhancement.

By the end of this module, students should be able to:
- Build upon a concise framework that integrates core financial accounting decisions of the modern corporation
from a theoretical as well as an empirical perspective - Undertake critical decisions to key fundamental issues in financial management & accounting
