Optional Course Assignment

In-class oral presentation

 

Your presentation will be judged on:

  • Content
  • Organization/Recognizable Structure
  • Poise and Enthusiasm
  • Use of Visual/Audio aids-video analyzing[1]
  • Eye Contact
  • Use of Voice
  • Use of Time
  • Presenters should use the PowerPoint slides as their guide- no extra script will be allowed to be used during their presentation

Note: Make sure you have the following:

  • 1 slide introduction
  • 1 slide key terms in context
  • 1 slide with references (bibliography)
  • One take home handout which displays the main points of your presentation for the audience members to take them home- copies should be made to be distributed to your peers
  • A colored printout of your presentation which will be submitted to your instructor on the day of your presentation

Guidelines:

  • 2-3 people (everyone must have his/her turn in speaking –time should be equally distributed)
  • 15-20  minutes MAX  (depending on the number of speakers in each group)
